About Joseph Takon

Dr. Joe Takon is a Public Health Physician and certified Global Health Professional with a strong passion for improving the health of individuals and communities. Most of his research work has been conducted in Sub-Saharan Africa. He speaks to matters that affect healthy living
and lifestyle modifications. He frequently speaks to life adjustment options to promote health, prevent diseases, enhance longevity and ultimate well-being.
He is an Alumnus of Satcher Health Leadership Institute Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta Georgia. He is a member of the American College of HealthCare Executive (ACHE) and also a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA). He is the CEO of Redeemer's Medical Center (RMC), a not-for-profit community clinic that offers medical services to the residents of Georgia, USA. He serves as a Director of several charitable
organizations. He is the host of Vital Health International; an evidence-based Medical Health Education program aimed at improving health behavior, health outcomes and the quality of life of residents in the 36 states of Nigeria where it currently airs on radio weekly.
He is one of the board directors of Africa Missions, North America (AMNA), a faith based organization that is actively involved in the design and implementation of community development projects and capacity building globally.
In recognition of his leadership and services to the community, he was one of two thousand leaders invited in 2005 by President George W. Bush for the first US Faith Based and Community Initiative (FBCI) National Conference. He is the Chairman of Nigeria Prays, GA chapter, an International Prayer program hosted by General Yakubu Gowon. He is the Provincial Pastor of RCCG, North America Province 3, Region 4, and the Senior Pastor of RCCG, City of David, Atlanta. He is married to Pastor Yemi Takon, and they are blessed with 4 children.
